The starting position.
In Gist’s 19–26 May measurement window, the barware and cocktail tools brand was named in one of 3,940 answers. Its presence in the tracked AI answers was limited.
The work identified.
Gist supplied 76 tailored opportunities, including buying guides and ranked, quotable lists on the brand’s own website. The supplied study does not specify which of those opportunities were implemented, so the results should not be attributed to a single action.
The measured change.
Between 17 June and 12 August, 3,306 of 14,695 answers named the brand: 22.5%. In the week of 17 June, Google AI Overviews moved from 0.2% to 42.0%, ChatGPT from 0.8% to 11.3%, and Perplexity from 3.3% to 24.7%. Subsequent weekly presence ranged from 15.1% to 27.2% in the reported period.
Coverage and limits.
The brand appeared for 24 of 29 tracked questions; five questions never named it and remain included in the reported figures. These measures cover the collected answers, not all possible AI answers. Claude joined the panel in July; earlier weeks covered ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. The before and after windows differ in length and answer count. No sales or traffic result is provided.
Valent’s perspective.
Look beyond a single answer or a short-lived spike. Review presence across a consistent set of buyer questions, inspect differences between engines and identify the questions where the brand is still absent.
